2024 Graduation Information

Important dates:
  • Wednesday, April 10th at midnight - Graduation Google Form due. (A link to the form will be emailed to all graduates/prospective graduates on Friday, April 5th.)
  • Wednesday, May 15th at noon & 6:00 pm - Virtual graduation meeting.  The meetings will be recorded and made available to all graduates who cannot attend one of the meetings.
  • Wednesday, May 15th at midnight - All high school classes/all parts of the GED must be completed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
  • Monday, June 3rd at 5:30 pm - NAEHS Induction Ceremony (see below)
  • Monday, June 3rd at 6:00 pm - Graduation Rehearsal.  Please enter at Door 29.
  • Wednesday, June 5th at 6:00 pm - Graduation Ceremony in the auditorium at Romulus Senior High School.  Seating is limited; please limit guests to 8 people.
Graduation Rehearsal Information -
 
Meet at Romulus Adult Education, Door 29.
Pizza will be served.
You will get your caps & gowns immediately following the rehearsal.
Graduation
  • Yes, you can decorate your cap.
  • All caps and gowns are maroon.  You do not have to pay for your cap & gown.
  • Because space is limited, we will need to limit the number of guests you bring to graduation to 8 people. 
  • Graduation will be live-streamed; anyone who cannot attend can watch from home.
  • We will have a photographer who will take pictures of each of the graduates.  You will not need to pay for your graduation picture.
  • Please no balloons or blow horns in the auditorium.
NAEHS honors exceptional adult education students across the nation.  If you qualify, you will receive:
  • an NAEHS pin
  • an NAEHS certificate
  • a gold tassel
  • letters of recommendation for employment & furthering your education
If you qualify, please attend the Romulus Adult Education NAEHS Induction Ceremony on Monday, June 3rd.  Your friends and family are welcome to attend, too.
 
GED graduates qualify if:
  • The average scores on all four tests is 155 or higher
 
High school graduates qualify if:
  • Graduates take the post TABE test, and
  • Graduates work on classes at least 30 hours/month while enrolled in Romulus Adult Education, and
  • Graduates have a GPA of 2.8 or higher while enrolled in Romulus Adult Education
